Every number, defined.
Analytics are only useful if everyone agrees what the numbers mean. These are the definitions we use by default, we adapt them to your model during the audit.
- Monthly recurring revenue (MRR)Revenue
- The normalised monthly value of all active subscriptions. Annual plans count as one-twelfth per month.
- ARPURevenue
- Average revenue per paying member per month. MRR divided by paid members.
- Revenue per memberRevenue
- MRR divided by all members, free and paid. Shows how well the whole community monetises.
- Lifetime value (LTV)Revenue
- Total revenue a member generates over their membership. We show actual LTV per member and projected LTV by cohort.
- Affiliate revenueRevenue
- Revenue from members attributed to each affiliate or creator partner, net of refunds.
- New membersGrowth
- Members who joined in the period, split by tracked acquisition source.
- Activation rateGrowth
- Share of new members who complete the actions you define as activation, for example onboarding plus one meaningful action within 7 days.
- Free → paid conversionGrowth
- Share of new members who start paying within a set window, usually 30 or 60 days.
- Revenue by acquisition sourceGrowth
- Revenue and LTV grouped by where members came from: video, post, affiliate, campaign or code.
- 30-day retentionRetention
- Share of paying members still subscribed 30 days after their first payment.
- ChurnRetention
- Share of paying members who cancel or fail to renew each month, split into voluntary and involuntary (failed payment).
- Members at risk / at-risk revenueRetention
- Paying members whose risk score is above threshold, and the MRR they represent.
- Community healthRetention
- A composite of activation, engagement depth and retention trends, scored out of 100 and tracked over time.
